I have written stories for many publications including TIME, Outside, Women’s Sports and Fitness, and various regional and local publications.

I write about travel, and love to tell the stories of people who are inspired in what they are doing in their lives, and who inspire me and others.

I am a regular magazine contributor/columnist for BiggerPockets Wealth Magazine, a magazine on real estate investing. I write a bimonthly column on investor’s “Biggest Mistakes”.

From Mexico, to the USVI to Africa and the Middle East, my photography has been one of the great loves of my life.

I was the founder, director and photographer for the Women and War Project, a 501c3 project where I traveled to former conflict areas and interviewed and photographed women whose lives had been impacted by war.

I formed this lifestyle brand based on my photography of my dad’s old cowboy boots. The high-end clothing line was in 25 stores across the country, including in Nashville (my tanks sold for $125).

I wrote both on staff and as a freelancer for the Denver Rescue Mission, a large organization helping the homeless with a budget of $10M. I did all of the organization’s writing and photographer for annual reports, newsletters and other publications.

I wrote as a freelancer for this organization in downtown Denver during the city’s major period of growth in transportation, retail, housing, restaurants and infrastructure.

I am business partners with my husband in a mountain landscape design/build construction company .
